A federal judge has temporarily blocked enforcement of the super restrictive North Dakota abortion law (HB 1456), stating that the pre-viability provisions in the bill were "invalid and unconstitutional" and that the bill directly contradicts Roe v. Wade.

I'm sure this won't be the last we hear of this bill, as North Dakota has the option of asking a federal appeals court to step in and allow the bill to go into effect while the legal challenges continue, but it's a start!
